It’s been weeks and weeks since I’ve stamped just for fun! The idea for this card has been floating around in my head for the last several days and I finally had time to put it together today.
The flowers were stamped in Black StazOn ink on watercolor paper and watercolored with an Aqua Painter and Reinker ink (Rose Red, More Mustard, Chocolate Chip and Old Olive). I sponged the edges of the panel with Chocolate Chip ink and then stitched around the edges with my sewing machine. If you want your stitches to remain white, sponge first and then sew last (I learned the hard way once). It’s hard to see, but I masked the flowers and then stamped the Canvas background stamp in So Saffron ink. I also used the Color Spritzer Tool with a Chocolate Chip Marker to create some spattering on the panel as well. I attached the flower panel to a piece of Rose Red cardstock and popped it up on dimensionals on the Confetti Cream card base. To see the finer details, please click on the photo. Thanks so much for visiting today!

This is SO very gorgeous! The flower colors are awesome together. I don’t know if I ever would have thought to put the more mustard and rose red together, but it works so well! I can’t figure out how you make your sponged edges look so neat. Maybe a tutorial is in order here! As usual your attention to detail is what makes all of your creations so beautiful and special!
This is a BEAUTIFUL card Yvette!! I love it. Your watercoloring is always the best I’ve seen. TFS

This is absolutely stunning!! I really like the stiching with the sponging on top of it on this card. Your flowers are coloured so beautifully. You have such an eye for all those little finishing touches that make a card so special.
Whoever your special friend is who you made this for will be thrilled with getting it.
Thanks for sharing and I hope you get more time to do some stamping just for fun. Often when not under pressure to make a certain type of card or style we are most creative – at least it works that way with me.
Totally gorgeous! I so love your watercoloring! This is dramatic…thanks for sharing your lovely creations!
I don’t think I’ve ever seen In Full Bloom look so beautiful, Yvette. So much love put into this gorgeous card, and that sentiment is so true and is making me a bit teary eyed. I think I need that stamp set Ü.
