This altered photo frame was a wedding gift for a very dear friend. It’s very much inspired by a card I made for my daughter a few months ago found here. The frame’s opening measures 5″ x 7″ (frame found at Hobby Lobby). Congratulations Amanda and Matt! 🙂

I’ve made a lot of these altered picture frames before, but I think this one is my favorite! It’ll be fun to bring this out and display it each year at Christmas. The Deck the Halls designer paper I used is retired from last year, but I love how I was able to take the scraps I had left and position the words “noel”, “hope”, and “love” on the left and I also love how the poinsettias appear in the top right corner. The picture of my family and I was taken in August by the lovely and talented Meredith Dickens. Check out her amazing photography here: http://www.mdickensphotography.info/. If you click on her “portfolio” tab and then the “children” tab on her site, you’ll see a picture of my daughter done in black and white sitting on the grass with her shoes in the foreground and her smiling in the background — it’s an awesome photo, if I do say so myself. 🙂 I also want to mention that I was inspired by a frame posted on Stampin’ Connection. If you’re a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator, you can view the frame here: http://www.stampinconnection.com/photo/deck-the-halls-picture-frame?context=user. My frame measures 7-3/4″ square and the opening is 3-1/4″ square.
