Archive for April, 2013

Here’s a retirement card for my boss who is retiring this week. I cased myself and used THIS card for inspiration. ūüėČ The flowers were created by inking up the base stamp in Pool Party ink, stamping off once on scrap paper and then stamping on Whisper White cardstock. The “highlight” stamp was stamped in full-strength Pool Party ink. I then stamped the highlight stamp again in VersaMark ink and embossed with Iridescent Ice embossing powder for added sparkle. I was struggling with the sentiment and was going to use a “congratulations” stamp, but then on a whim (and a little bit of desperation) I did one last search of the catalog and found there IS a “Happy Retirement” stamp in the Teeny Tiny Wishes set! It was the perfect size and font for my card!! It makes me so happy when a card comes together just how I want it to! ūüėČ

Congratulations, Cathy!!! ‚̧

Here are my two projects!

PROJECT #1 – Happy Birthday Niece

My first project is a birthday card for my niece who turns 11 next month. The leaves were “frosted” by applying 2-Way Glue Pen adhesive directly onto the leaves and then sprinkling them with Dazzling Diamonds Glitter.

Stamps: Mixed Bunch, Build a Blossom, Teeny Tiny Wishes

Paper: Whisper White, Tangerine Tango, Floral District

Ink: Lucky Limeade, Tangerine Tango

Accessories: Perfect Polka Dots Folder, Big Shot, Blossom Punch, Blossom Petals Builder Punch, 1″ Circle Punch, Old Olive Brights Designer Button, Whisper White Baker’s Twine, Whisper White Taffeta Ribbon, Stampin’ Dimensionals.

PROJECT #2 – Happy Birthday Nephew

And here’s another birthday card — this one’s for my nephew who will turn 13 in June. I stamped the large, winged image in Black StazOn ink on a transparency sheet and then cut it out with scissors. The image is popped up on dimensionals that are hidden by the baseball.

Ink: Black StazOn, More Mustard

Accessories: Chevron Folder, Big Shot, 1-3/8″¬†Circle Punch,¬†Basic Black Neutrals Brads, Stampin’ Dimensionals
