I will definitely miss this wonderful stamp set! It has been a great set for making masculine cards, which for me can be difficult to create. I used the layout from this week’s Sketch Challenge over on Splitcoast. The original layout is from a fabulous card done by Trudee. To see more of her awe-inspiring work, click on the link “Follow Your Bliss” under my blogroll. I very rarely do faux stitching on cards, but I was too lazy to lug out my sewing machine today, so I used my paper piercing tool and mat and a Chocolate Chip marker. The image was watercolored with an Aqua Painter and Reinkers using Cool Caribbean for the sky, Sahara Sand for the sand :), Old Olive for the fronds and Chocolate Chip for the trunk. Please click on the photo to see the finer details. Thanks so much for visiting today!

I am constantly in awe of your watercoloring! I avoid it but I really should dig in and learn how! Thanks for sharing your work with us!
I feel like a broken record, but your watercoloring truly amazes me every time! I love this. The ocean and sky are so soft and, well, REAL! The twill looks just perfect with the buckle and brad, too.
This is so beautiful, Yvette! Your watercoloring looks amazing, and I love the twill tape with the buckle and brad. Your faux stitching looks perfect!
Super card!
You were the reason I bought Balmy Breezes and I love it, it is one I will never tire of using, so thank you. This card is so beautiful, the coloring is wonderful.
This is beautiful, Yvette! Love the earthy colors, and it’s perfect for this sketch. The twill and buckle are a great looking accent. Thanks for reminding me that I need to get more creative with my hardware!
Yvette, this is stunning! I love the buckle on the twill tape and all the texture created with the linen & canvas background stamps. This is the ultimate guy card!
I am so going to miss Balmy Breezes too! Primarily because I love the beach and anything related! (thus my scs name of waterchild12) Your card is quite stunning. I may have to pull this set out when I get home from work!
stunning masterpiece!!
This is gorgeous!! Your faux stitching looks so real that I wouldn’t have known it was faux if you hadn’t noted it! I love how you have the a very slight bit of Cool Carribean c.s. peeking out from the Chocolate c.s. to tie in with your beautifully watercolored palm tree image! I’m still stumped as to how you’re getting your HP to stay put like that…..is it with glue dots? I just recently received this stampset as a gift and haven’t even put it to ink yet. I can’t believe its being retired, but that won’t keep me from using it for years to come Ü!
AWESOME, Yvette!! Love your color choices and the hardware accents! Thanks for the love, too! 🙂
I am sooooo sad this set is retiring! It’s one of my old standbys…but not anymore! *sniffle*
That is stunning-love it!
Great card! Love how you use the twill with this set – perfect!! TFS
I’m sooooooo sad about this set!! This is a fabulous set and I love using it!! (and well I know I still can but… 🙂 Love the vivid colors and that buckle is great!

Beautiful card!
Lovely card! The buckle is really creative. I’ve just been to stampin up and christina’s to check out some
paper crafting mats. I’m using this for inspiration.
